Philadelphia Experiment

"If I'd known what will my discovery, I would have done watchmaker"-Albert Einstein

On the mysterious Project Rainbow (Rainbow), known more as the Philadelphia Experiment, rivers of ink flowed for nearly seven decades, without any single researcher can provide a satisfactory answer about what presumably would have happened the destroyer USS Eldridge in 1943. If for some, it is just a farce of mind too hot, the reality of cases, long secret (see Manhattan Project which make the atom bomb, or Habbakuk project which was building an aircraft carrier ice), not do than to give water to the mill of those who believe that bizarre USS teleportation, during the Second World War, is now a fact well hidden from the authorities in Washington.

A project led by Albert Einstein assumed and Nikola Tesla.

Since 1930, U.S. researchers looked at the University of Chicago the opportunity to make an invisible body through electricity, business led, apparently, the controversial Serbian scientist Nikola Tesla. Nine years later, the project was moved to the University Postgraduate Princetown, where he was recruited in the German team of researchers and Albert Einstein. Study results were never published data, increasing their aura of mystery, even urban legends woven around them say that invisible objects was reached, even if they not only involve small objects. He was the starting point of what would become one of the strangest and most controversial projects in history, Philadelphia Experiment.

It appears that on October 28, 1943, in the port city of Philadelphia, U.S. military officials laid him destroyer USS Eldridge available to researchers to test the effects of invisibility on battleships. What followed, it will be a scenario worthy of horror movies.

According to legends woven around this experiment, shortly after the start of powerful generators installed on the ship, USS Eldrige was covered by a white-green fog which appeared a few minutes to become material. Shortly thereafter, the ship disappears from sight and from radar screens for about 5 minutes before, when recurrence was present witnesses an image nightmare. Many crew members were totally or partially charred, some symptoms of insanity or disappeared without a trace, while others were integrated into the ship's metal structure. Witnesses said the USS Eldridge appeared suddenly at the Norfolk naval base at over 600 miles away, because then disappear within a few minutes, just as mysteriously appeared. Army officials stopped, emergency, experiment, passing everything in silence as if nothing had happened.Witness the mysterious
If Philadelphia Experiment take place in 1943 in full World War, the first references to this case appeared, strangely, barely 12 years later, in 1955.

On 12 January 1955, Morris K. Jessup, professor of mathematics and physics, amateur astronomer and author of the book entitled "The Case for UFOs" received a letter from a mysterious Carlos Allende, which were played, in detail, details about The USS Eldridge ditrugatorului disappearance, and the few odd symptoms supravietutori crew. Jessup would be shocked by their findings. From the letter it appeared that American sailors on the ship had been discharged for reasons unclear, where the side effects of teleportation became increasingly evident. Allende described the case of a survivor of the experiment which, being at table with his family, suddenly rose, took his hat and went out through the wall without anyone to trace them again ever. Another case mentioned in the letter was that of another crew member during a local conflict arose in a public, disappeared without a trace while opponents hit more. Allende attached letter, several articles about alleged ambiguous experiment, articles actually came in the press, without giving too much data but inconclusive.

Reluctant to such information, Jessup will write mysterious or mail using the address on the envelope, asking for more details of that experiment and the people involved in it. The answer will not come until a few months later, this time signed with the name Carl Allen, the strange witness said he could not provide the required data but it is ready to undergo a hypnosis session. Convinced that the victim of bad taste jokes, Jessup will discontinue correspondence.

It had been two years already this bizarre story, when the mathematician was called at the Navy Bureau of Investigation in Washington (Office Naval Research - ONR) to give statements about the book they published years ago. Intrigued, Jessup is presented at the ONR where, to his great surprise, is required to give explanations about handwritten notes on a copy of "Case for UFO's" copy which arrived at the same address as ONR and Morris K. Jessup letters he had received two years ago.

Notes written by three characters appeared (Mr. A, Mr. B and Jemi) with different color pens and punctuation strung without any apparent logic. Jessup recognized the writing as the Lord's Carlos Allende / Carl Allen, and be surprised by its advanced knowledge and the other two characters, in aviation, the operating principles of the UFO stories and hallucinating about The Philadelphia
Experiment and different breeds of aliens being on Earth.

Although convinced that everything is just a continuation of the farce of 1957, Jessup is surprised by the interest shown by ONR officials to letters from Allende but also, paradoxically, information that had been sent to the address where they not only address an abandoned farm and insistence that officials were trying to get them to believe that the author of the letters is a psychopath.

Mathematician not managed to find an answer to information more than bizarre that was basically bombed. On 20 April 1959, he was found dead in his own garage, choked with exhaust gas. If everything seem like a suicide due to depression, well known, in fact, family members, there were few who believed that his death was not an accidental but due, rather, the data we obtained about experiment Philadelphia.

Pros and cons

The Pentagon denied any involvement in the alleged repeatedly proposed teleportation / invisibility of the USS Eldrige in 1943. However, even though U.S. military officials arguments seem relevant at first glance, the followers of conspiracy theories, not only for them, the Philadelphia Experiment is nothing but one of hundreds of actual cases, carefully hidden from prying eyes of the public.
It seems unlikely, as the Pentagon said that a project of this magnitude to be done in broad daylight, in a port where anyone could see alleged teleportation. Moreover, the veterans testimonies American destroyer, and the logbook of the period, USS Eldrige showed clearly that not only is in mission in the Bahamas, but not even landed in the port of Philadelphia during 1943. Moreover, the only witness of this event, the mysterious Carl Allen, was unavailable.

But controversies arise when studying the archives of several newspapers, opponents discovered the first version offered by Pentagon official statements of the representatives of the U.S. military. From these emerged that the ship was not involved in any experiment but, strangely, it recognizes the existence of a project that was studied invisibility effects on marine mines.
It was not overlooked any of the bizarre death of Nikola Tesla, who officially retired from the project before the alleged Philadelphia Experiment, claiming that its findings will be used to the detriment of humanity and not in its favor, as intended. After this episode, Tesla is removed from the scientific sphere, being labeled as a mad scientist. Just two months after the event in question, Tesla was found dead in hotel room where he lived, while the entire archive, including studies, notes and sketches of his experiments, was stolen by the FBI and labeled, so far as a secret. No less important in this equation is the mysterious project initiated by Tesla, who supported the Serbian scientist, repeatedly, that will give the world a weapon to end all wars.

Strange as it seems and the statement of Albert Einstein, the scientist who in an interview with an American publication states: "If I'd known what will my discovery, I would have done watchmaker." In fact, it seems that the brilliant physicist and would be destroyed, knowingly, some of the documents, saying the closest that humanity is not yet ready to face his findings.

As if it was not enough, the mysterious death of K. Jessup Moriss mathematician and handwritten letters or notes on the book, have only deepen the mystery surrounding the Philadelphia Experiment.

 Facts

* After episode about Morris K. Jessup correspondence between and Carlos Allende / Carl Allen, and other alleged witnesses came of the experiment, their statements are not accepted officially. Perhaps the best known case is that of Alfred Bielek. He claimed that his real name was Edward Cameron, while he had been transported through the same process that was teleported USS Eldridge in 1943, and that his memory was erased by the U.S. military. Bielek said that his memories began to return only after he watched the 1984 Hollywood production, "Philadelphia Experiment", directed by Stewart Raffill.

* There were many people who have made the connection between Philadelphia Experiment and Montauk Project, a project that took place between 1971 and 1983, which argued that U.S. military experience psychological effect on people's arms. Thus, the case in 1943 was not only the result of a psychosis induced by such a weapon.

* The official version of the Project Rainbow (The Philadelphia Experiment) is that it is just an elaborate hoax in purely commercial purposes.

* The origins of scientist Nikola Tesla are, in reality, Istro-Roman.

The anniversary was held on September 27 in recent years, although the company has officially born September 4, 1998, and the area that made it famous, google.com was registered on 15 September 1997. It began in January 1996, however.

The idea - 1996

In January 1996, Larry Page, then a student at Stanford, started a research project which was shortly joined by Sergey Brin, another student. They were of the view that a search engine that analyzed the relationships between sites could produce better results than the techniques used then to arrange the results by number of appearances of the search term per page. Their creation was originally the name BackRub.
Eventually, they changed the name to Google, originating from a misspelling of the word "googol", the number one followed by one hundred zeros, which was picked to signify that the search engine wants to provide large quantities of information for people. Originally, Google ran under the Stanford University website, with the domain google.stanford.edu

The beginning - 1998

Larry Page and Sergey Brin called BackRub abandoned in favor of Google, a derivative of the mathematical term "googol". Followed to obtain the domain google.com, after a period used the google.stanford.edu address. With support from Andy Bechtolsheim 100,000, one of the founders of Sun Microsystems, Page and Brin rented a space with 1,700 dollars a month in Menlo Park.
